neighbor
Some might think that their “neighbor” has to be those who physically live next door to them. This is not true. Your “neighbor” is simply the people who are within your circle of influence on a regular basis. Your “neighbor” might be in your workplace, the parents of the kids on your child’s soccer team, or the other students in your biology class. Focus on those who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, listen to God and be aware of who he is calling you to be in relationship with.
Around Phos we call this concept M1D or Mission at 1 Degree. The idea is simple: wherever you go there you are! And wherever you are is your primary God Appointed Mision Field. Getting cranked up with the LEND Journal, OUTFLOW, and your Bible will empower you to take your whole relationship with God and others to a higher level. M1D — it’s a great ride and you can get on it by taking the LEND Challenge!
Maybe it’s just me. . . Maybe it’s my personality. . . I think many times it is easier to love on people you don’t know (or maybe it’s that don’t know you) more than people you are around regularly and have some sort of relationship with. I sometimes feel like they think I am “trying to impress them” with my “goodness”. Maybe I’m just self conscious. I’ve got to figure out how to take myself out of the picture more and put God in.
right on Mary. I think a lot of us struggle with this. The LEND journal has a lot of anonymous style ideas that may be a great way to get started, but I know you do so much of this stuff already that you may be ready for a bigger (more public) challenge. Just pray and ask God to show you and then take action….He’ll lead you to what needs to be done!
